Paco Rabanne is renowned for his astonishing designs, but he left numerous other achievements as well. Rabanne focused on the revival of avant-garde by combining various mediums and created a new language for fashion. This includes not only writings but also sculptures and costumes. It proves how he was open to a wide range of art and culture.
There’s a famous quote by Salvador Dali: “Paco Rabanne is the second greatest genius in Spain, after me”. There was an underlying friendship and connection between two artists.
Chainmail is one of the most primary couture works of Paco Rabanne. Our top priority is creating dresses through exploration and experiment of new materials. We are connected to the special atelier and continue to pass on the techniques to our younger generation-this is in the core for the future of Paco Rabanne.
I would describe Paco Rabanne as a contemporary brand. My vision is less about creating garments for the future. I focus on what people need at this moment in time.
